This division is the back bone of the company and comprises Engineering, sheet metal shop, piping, start-up, air balance, engineering, and controls to provide a direct and effective solution for all projects. By providing all services directly, Thermacool maintains consistent quality.

Engineering and Preconstruction Services

We have an in-house mechanical engineering department offering design/ build services. It is here that the concept is developed and all drawings and coordination of departments is done. We pride ourselves in employing full B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering graduates accredited to the ZIE and the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe and many other international professional memberships. We also carry out value engineering, cost budgeting, estimation and CAD drawings allowing us to offer various system types and therefore multiple options depending on client cost considerations. Our biggest pride is delivering cutting edge designs within the client’s budgetary requirements.

Ductwork

Thermacool fabricates all ductwork at our workshops currently based on 18 Martin Drive, Msasa utilizing state of the art equipment. All ductwork systems are fabricated and installed in accordance with S.M.A.C.N.A. (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association) and DW 142 standards.

Piping Services

Thermacool has a full team of Pipe welders and fitters thus providing complete piping services for mechanical systems with an in-house piping department. We are capable of installing steel chilled water piping; fusion welded pre-insulated polypropylene piping, copper piping for VRV systems and finally refrigerant copper piping for split systems.

H.V.A.C. Systems Installation

We have a dedicated staff compliment, some of our members have an individual track record of over 30 yrs. in H.V.A.C. systems installation for all commercial and industrial applications. From the installation of ductwork, insulation, diffusers, fans, pumps right up to chiller installation.

Air Balance and Start-Up

We are fully equipped to commission i.e. water balancing, air balancing and start up all makes and systems of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. We have just recently invested in equipment to fully commission and test all different air conditioning systems be they Chilled water systems, VAV systems, Multi V systems or dust control systems. We are also proud to be the only company specializing in HVAC systems for the Pharmaceutical Industry and have assisted some major pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in qualifying to manufacture for WHO and the region.
